Thank You, Houston!!!

Just returned from the 8th Annual "It Came From The Bayou" Printmaking Showcase, hosted by Burning Bones Press and Saint Arnold Brewery in Houston, TX. Printmakers from all over the country are invited by Burning Bones head honcho, Carlos Hernandez, to participate, and this year, we happily accepted the invitation. It's a great event designed to promote the art of printmaking and printers (aka, 'ink slingers'), all the while drinking amazing craft beer from one of Houston's best brewers.

Had the pleasure of getting to meet many of the talented artists on the roster, as well as makes some new friends and customers. We even got to (finally) debut our new Vend-A-Print machine at the event, an old-school style vending machine that dispenses hand-printed original art, which turned out to be quite popular. In fact, we saw several people come back for more mini prints. The machine received a bit of a workout, thank goodness we brought plenty of quarters for folks!. Now, we'll have to re-fill the machine with some new work!

All-in-all, Sloan and I had a great time, and we are looking forward to doing this again in Houston next year. Perhaps Napkin Art Studio will see you folks at the other Burning Bones Press-affiliated printmaker events, which if the case, we'll be sure to let you cats know. There might even be a Dallas-based event in the near future, too.

Thanks to Carlos, the Burning Bones crew, Saint Arnold Brewery and all of the folks who came out for the event, yesterday. We had a blast and we can't express our appreciation enough for hosting us.
