15 Years of Napkin Art Studio!!!

Well, Happy 2019, everyone!!!

Another year gone and a new year is ushered in. I can't say I'm sad to see 2018 go (from a political standpoint, at least), but the year did bring forth some great artistic achievements, so I can't complain there. Some of the year's highlights include working on another album cover/packaging project for rock n' roll star Alice Cooper, designing and printing posters for rock band Candlebox's 25th Anniversary Tour, as well as (finally) learning letterpress printing (still in the early Jedi-training stages). I squeezed in several more design and printing projects over the course of the year, too, many of which I have yet to unveil. But, as luck would have it, I have a BIG reason to make 2019 a successful year for Napkin Art Studio!

Can you believe it's been 15 years since I launched this boat?!? 15?!?!! I can't either. Technically, May 9th is Napkin Art's official birthday, but my plan is to celebrate the entire year of 2019, as this feels like a major milestone. I'm still in the early stages of plans and what to do this year, but I will most definitely have some fun things planned for the coming months. First of all, I'm running a promotion on the Etsy shop for you to save 15% on your entire order (good thru the entire month of January.) to kick things off. I'll have some new prints to debut on Etsy this month, so you may luck out and get your hands on some really limited edition stuff for a song. :)

You can bet there will be some new art prints and posters planned for the year, as well as some limited edition 15th Anniversary swag. I'm also planning on doing a special anniversary Pop-Up Shop this Spring, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for that info. Initially, I wasn't thinking about doing anything special this year, but why the heck not? Fifteen sounds like a good round number to celebrate.

On a side note, I really struggled with what to do with the Napkin Art Instagram page, whether or not to keep it or delete it. I'm actually pretty burned out on wasting time on IG, but I may keep it around awhile longer. We'll see, I may change my mind at some point. (IG is @napkinartstudio, FYI.) Regardless, keep checking back to the website for news, updates, etc. etc. I'll do my best to keep things pretty well updated this year.

It's a little chilly in Texas for the start of 2019, but with all this planning and scheming, it's heating up really nice. Wish me luck and pray I don't drop the ball this year!

Cheers, -Jonathon
